About Us

“Eloquence – The Public Speaking Club of IIMA” is another cog in the IIMA wheel that helps individuals become effective leaders. This is a student-run club with a mission to help every member improve his/her public speaking skills. The club provides a collaborative, encouraging and supportive environment. The club meets once a week on weekends for typically 90 minutes. A typical meeting starts with an educational video, followed by prepared speeches and debates/extempore. The meeting closes with an evaluation session. The meetings are agenda driven and very structured with a mix of roles. Some of the roles help improve public speaking skills while other such as evaluator, meeting convener etc help improve leadership skills. To facilitate learning, we also conduct workshops and institute level contests. The learning is further facilitated by an educational video and a feedback session at the end of each meeting.
