About The Club
GeneSys is run by a group of dedicated individuals interested in a systems career. They bring with them a wealth of experience (from several domains).
GeneSys conducts activities like holding discussions on various IT-related courses, in order to enhance participants' understanding. It also provides a platform where participants can discuss the opportunities available, and their expectations from an IT career. It also publishes newsletters capturing the latest technological trends along with their implications for managers. Apart from activities within the campus, GeneSYS has been involved in projects with organizations like Cisco, Google and with the government of Gujarat.
GeneSys aims to conduct many more activities in this calendar year, which could prove fruitful for the IIM-A community. A case study contest would provide opportunities for participants to understand the challenges in the systems function, enabling them to better handle such situations in the future. Technology innovation contests would help bring out creative ideas on leveraging technology for solving practical problems. Talks by eminent personalities in the industry would allow participants to learn from their insights. For participants looking to flex their minds, algorithm/logic contests would provide an ideal opportunity. Avid quizzers can look forward to multiple biz-tech quizzes, some of which would be held online. Sessions covering trends and changes in the dynamic world of IT would equip participants with sector knowledge and make them better prepared for placement interviews. All these efforts would be supported by a website capturing the information of the events that GeneSys aims to conduct. The website would also host newsletters and the latest technology and industry news.
In the coming academic year, team GeneSys hopes to set a new benchmark for systems related activity on campus. Hopefully, with the help of the student community, faculty members and industry professionals, we will be able do so.
