PRAKRITI is IIM A's Nature Club. The club wishes to promote a lifetime of interest and pleasure for both active and armchair nature enthusiasts. Prakriti Club started with a mission to sensitize future managers to environmental issues and encourage students to break free from the pressure of studies to savor the pleasure of nature around them. The broad objectives of the club are as follows:
1. To promote interest and knowledge about wildlife, forests and the environment among us.
2. To increase awareness of the economic, cultural, scientific and aesthetic values of fauna and flora.
3. To provide opportunities to acquire attitudes, values and skills needed to protect and improve the natural environment.
The various activities of the club include Nature camps, Tree Plantation drives, Trekking expeditions, Bird watching expeditions, Guest Lectures, Photography/ poster Competitions within campus and interacting with other NGOs/ government bodies in the city. Members of this club try to help them in activities like slum development, city beautification, awareness campaigns, etc.
